Moxibustion

A therapy that consists of burning moxa (dried mugwort) on acupuncture points to warm the area, which helps to stimulate circulation. Can be used to turn breech babies. Studies show that 50% of breech babies will turn with no treatment, and with Moxabustion 75% will move.

Tui Na

A deep tissue massage using different manipulations to stimulate the body energy flow.

Cupping

Glass cups are placed on the skin, creating suction. Cups can be left on for up to 15 minutes or moved while suction of skin is active. The treatment gives the tissue a deep massage.

Guasha

This technique is used to move blocked “qi” (energy) that is causing pain in the muscles or joints. Specialised round-ended instruments are used to apply pressure to the skin, which can cause redness that will fade away in few days.
